Innovative Projects
Solar Power Plant:
50 Kw solar power plant generates 225 units of electricity per day. It is a battery less power plant based on crystalline photovoltaic technology. Total 200 solar panels are mounted on rooftop which converts sunlight into electricity in DC form. Grid tied solar inverter convert Direct Current to Alternate Current (415 V) & synchronizes with the supply from mains (i.e. MSEB). Total 70 megawatt hours of electricity will generate in one year & will save 36 tons of Carbon dioxide. The plant is designed & erected by Samved energy systems Ltd. Pune. Plant works about 330 days out of 365 days in a year.
Virtual Class Room:
Virtual education refers to instruction in a learning environment where teacher and student are separated by time or space, or both, and the teacher provides course content through the use of methods such as course management applications, multimedia resources, the Internet, and videoconferencing. Students receive the content and communicate with the teacher via the same technologies..
LAPTOP (Lifelong Association Through Plantation of Trees & Outreach Program):
In this scheme the student will plant a tree in first year when he is admitted to the college, he will take care of the plant for the next four year, the class-teacher and mentor staff will monitor the growth of the plant. The students name plate will be paste on his tree when he will leave the institute.
Blank Pages Bank:
The students and staff deposits the blank pages in this bank, these blank pages are bonded together to form a copy and these copies are distributed to the poor children during NSS Camp.
Zero Discharge Project:
Disposing the waste safely & in environment friendly manner is a great task for technocrats. Government is investing corers of Rupees In this area, still efficient & effective system cannot be established. Considering this threat a zero discharge project is successfully commissioned in the HVPM campus. It disposes the domestic waste of mess & hostel building converting the waste into energy. Recovered energy (Biogas) is successfully utilized in the kitchen. The project aims to dispose of the waste by the one who generates it. The project is capable of taking care of 100 residences at a time. The initial investment is Rs. Six lacks. This might be a footprint to develop a new waste disposal approach.
Earn Learn Scheme:
The students enrolled under the scheme are given the following types of work namely-That increase their skills in areas of their study, office work, technical work and field work. Office work includes working at the SETU or any other office of the institute, Laboratories. The students of the higher classes teach the failure students of the lower classes.
SETU (Students E-tech Service Unit):
Under this unit various facilities such as printing, scanning, photocopying are provided to the students. The unit also maintains the complete academic data of the student.
Establishment of IDEA INCUBATION Cell & Entrepreneurship Development Cell:
Aims at institutionalizing mechanism, which could act as support system for technocrat entrepreneurs. The Entrepreneurs Development Cell set up under the scheme is expected to act as a tool to promote entrepreneurship and self-employment amongst technical students as an attractive and viable career option.
